Sisters, sisters, never were there such devoted sisters!
Am I crazy or is there something wonderful about sisters?! I am blessed with two biological sisters, two through marriage and a whole bunch throughout my circle of friends. In the past few days I have been able to talk to my older sisters and my sister-in-law and every time I get off the phone with them, I have a huge smile across my face.
It is your sister that you can completely relate to. You can ask them questions, offer advice, reminisce about olden times, and dream about the future. They understand when you are struggling to find your mojo and they warn you that life with a three-year-old is about to rock your world.
I am several years younger than my sisters, and growing up I always wanted to be them. I wanted to have cool 1990's parties in the basement, I wanted the bangs, and then I wanted the husband and family life. I have seen them grow through their own challenges and lead the way for me to be an awesome adult. I get them and they get me. There is a certain safety I feel when I am with my sisters. Not to mention, they are hilarious!
So, to my sisters, thanks for being way cool and for teaching me about good music and the importance of grammar. Thanks for biting your tongue when I am acting childish and for praising me when I get it together. Thanks for helping me analyze dreams and encouraging me to be ambitious.
And to my sisters in all other facets of my life, thanks for taking me as I am. I know I need a lot of work, but it is through the friendship of women that helps me to keep on keeping on. Women are powerful beings and when we tune into our intuition we can really serve each other and uplift one another.

P.S. This is one of my favorite things one of my sisters has said to me lately, just to give you an idea of the magnitude of their awesomeness.
